Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

겟세마네 동산에의 예수님

Memory verse : Luke 22:40

그 곳에 이르러 그들에게 이르시되 유혹에 빠지지 않게 기도하라 하시고

40 There he told them, “Pray that you will not give in to temptation.”

When Jesus and His friends had finished the Lord’s Supper, they went to the Mount of Olives.

예수님과 그의 친구들은 성만찬을 마치고 감란산으로 갔다.

Matthew 26: 30

이에 그들이 찬미하고 감람산으로 나아가니라

Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.

Jesus and His friends went to the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives.

예수님과 그의 친구들은 감람산에 있는 겟세마네 동산으로 갔다.

Luke 22:39 예수께서 나가사 습관을 따라 감람 산에 가시매 제자들도 따라갔더니

39 Then, accompanied by the disciples, Jesus left the upstairs room and went as usual to the Mount of Olives.

2. Jesus went to pray alone

예수님은 혼자 기도하셨다.

Luke 22:41 그들을 떠나 돌 던질 만큼 가서 무릎을 꿇고 기도하여

41 He walked away, about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed,

3. Jesus prayed that He would not have to die.

예수님은 죽고 싶지 않다고 기도하셨다.

Luke 22:42a 이르시되 아버지여 만일 아버지의 뜻이거든 이 잔을 내게서 옮기시옵소서

42 “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me.

4. Jesus was calling to choose God’s way.

예수님은 하나님의 길을 선택 하도록 부름을 받으셨다.

Luke 22:42b 그러나 내 원대로 마시옵고 아버지의 원대로 되기를 원하나이다 하시니

Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

5. An angel came to strengthen/help Jesus when He was crushed with sorrow.

예수님이 깊은 슬픔가운데 빠졌을 때, 천사가 와서 힘을 주고 도움을 주었다.

Luke 22:43-44

43 천사가 하늘로부터 예수께 나타나 힘을 더하더라

44 예수께서 힘쓰고 애써 더욱 간절히 기도하시니 땀이 땅에 떨어지는 핏방울 같이 되더라

43 Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him. 44 He prayed more fervently, and he was in such agony of spirit that his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood.[e]

6. His friends were tired and went to sleep.

그의 친구들은 피곤하여 잠을 잤다.

Luke 22:45.

45 기도 후에 일어나 제자들에게 가서 슬픔으로 인하여 잠든 것을 보시고

45 At last he stood up again and returned to the disciples, only to find them asleep, exhausted from grief.

7. Jesus was betrayed by His friend Judas,

예수님은 그의 친구 유다에 의하여 배신 당하셨다.

Luke 22:47-48

47 말씀하실 때에 한 무리가 오는데 열둘 중의 하나인 유다라 하는 자가 그들을 앞장서 와서

48 예수께 입을 맞추려고 가까이 하는지라 예수께서 이르시되 유다야 네가 입맞춤으로 인자를 파느냐 하시니

47 But even as Jesus said this, a crowd approached, led by Judas, one of the twelve disciples. Judas walked over to Jesus to greet him with a kiss. 48 But Jesus said, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”

8. The friends of Jesus wanted to fight to save His life.

예수님의 친구들은 예수님의 생명을 구원하기 위하여 싸우기를 원했다.

Luke 22:49-53

49 그의 주위 사람들이 그 된 일을 보고 여짜오되 주여 우리가 칼로 치리이까 하고

50 그 중의 한 사람이 대제사장의 종을 쳐 그 오른쪽 귀를 떨어뜨린지라

51 예수께서 일러 이르시되 이것까지 참으라 하시고 그 귀를 만져 낫게 하시더라

52 예수께서 그 잡으러 온 대제사장들과 성전의 경비대장들과 장로들에게 이르시되 너희가 강도를 잡는 것 같이 검과 몽치를 가지고 나왔느냐

53 내가 날마다 너희와 함께 성전에 있을 때에 내게 손을 대지 아니하였도다 그러나 이제는 너희 때요 어둠의 권세로다 하시더라

49 When the other disciples saw what was about to happen, they exclaimed, “Lord, should we fight? We brought the swords!” 50 And one of them struck at the high priest’s slave, slashing off his right ear.

51 But Jesus said, “No more of this.” And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.

52 Then Jesus spoke to the leading priests, the captains of the Temple guard, and the elders who had come for him. “Am I some dangerous revolutionary,” he asked, “that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me? 53 Why didn’t you arrest me in the Temple? I was there every day. But this is your moment, the time when the power of darkness reigns.”

Jesus chose God’s way. He chose to die on the cross for Our sins.

예수님은 하나님의 뜻을 택하셨다.

Philippians 2:8

8 사람의 모양으로 나타나사 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라

8 When he appeared in human form,[d]

he humbled himself in obedience to God

and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

John 3:16 하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라

16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[g] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Do you know how important it is to pray alone? Jesus did.

당신은 개인 기도가 얼마나 중요한지 아십니까? 예수님은 혼자 기도하셨습니다.

Do you have special time to pray? Why was Jesus willing to die on the cross?

당신은 특별한 기도시간을 가집니까? 예수님은 기도하심으로 기꺼이 십자가에서 죽으시기를 원했습니다.
